Windows Casino joins B4Playing

As you know, windows casino has changed both its ownership and the software. They were using RTG and now they are using Playtech’s great software.

Windows casino is joining the B4Playing tool and will be uploaded in the next few days.

We are working to bring more casinos and poker rooms for the benefits of the players using B4Playing.

November...November...

Wow what a busy month was November. Between the traveling, meetings and ton of emails B4Playing had a great month. We have more than doubled our numbers. We can only imagine what December will bring to us. New month, holiday month, starting to smell the Christmas holiday in the air. I went to the shopping street in the Isle of Man (there is one street like this) and there was a huge tree already located in the center, right in front of the Marks and Spencer store, all lighted up.

But anyway going back to December. One of the things we are changing in the system is enabling the multi lingual players to be directed to their own preferred language automatically. What does it mean? The French user will click on a property link and will get to the French version of the property, no matter if they do auto detecting or not. Sounds very obvious but still needs work. We are currently working joined with the casinos and poker rooms to make it possible. What seems so simple is not to everyone. We see the cooperation from the properties and we hope that by next one (after all the holidays) we will be able to go out with the updated client.

On a different note, although we are almost 2 months from the CAP Euro event, I want to let affiliates (and properties) who want to meet with us, to email me directly and we would setup time to meet. These events are always so hectic. Last CAP we had over 60 meetings in 3 days, it was crazy, we had to split the team, have some short meetings with affiliates and properties so email me…we can schedule the time already now.

Have a great and fun week!

B4Playing Update

We are almost done with all the information for December, we are now crossing the $100,000 in bonuses and 47,500 poker tournaments. One of the important thing for B4Playing is having the information on the client updated. Some properties are sending the information via XML but unfortunately some still send it via email.

Well, nevertheless we do the work to make sure all players have the information updated. We encourage users who find new bonuses who weren’t update to inform us. It feels great when the community supports the product, sends feedback, information, ideas etc’ – it makes everything worth while doing.

B4Playing will not be in CAC Macau this week. We were actually planning but traveling is taking too much our valuable time. I guess saying that lots of people will agree. As one who is on the road a lot flying almost every week spending time in meetings and conferences (which there are hundreds of them) it is very difficult to also find time to work. So this time I stayed around here (even if it would have been probably a great place to visit).
That is it for a short update.

Why affiliates cooperate with us

Affiliates are in for the money. The ones who cooperate with us believe in our MCPA (multiple CPA) model and believe that over the long run they will make more money than sending a player to a property for a one time commission.

During the last 2 months, since we went live we were successful in recruiting over 100 active affiliates. Most of them have already generated revenue with us.
It became apparent that our Affiliation program provides some additional benefits that are very appealing to mid size affiliates:

• B4Playing has super affiliation agreement with most of the leading properties. We deal with the properties, we negotiate the deals, and we collect the money and pay the affiliates a single payment once a month.

• Through our reports, that are accessible to our affiliates, they can learn the level of their traffic. We provide with online statistics as per how many have downloaded our software, how many users were generated and how many depositors. Many affiliates are in the dark as per how much traffic they have generated through their website. The B4Playing reports help them in understanding their business.

• B4Playing is negotiating, on behalf of its affiliates, exclusive bonuses. These bonuses are usually available to the largest affiliates in the market. Cooperating with B4Playing provides our affiliates with an access to these exclusive bonuses.

• Our filterable charts providing the best tool for players to select their poker tournament of choice optimize their online casino bonus and get alerts as per progressive slots.

• Now, with release 1.1 affiliates who would like to get their website logo on B4Playing van do so. This clickable logo ensures that the users will go back once in a while to the affiliate website to search for new information.

• Users prefer to log into affiliates websites as they get exclusive bonuses which are not available if they log directly to the property website. B4Playing aggregate these exclusive bonuses into a single chart.

90% of B4Playing users and players are being generated now by affiliates.

B4Playing at Ad-Tech

NYC, either you hate it or you love it, I am from the lovers side. The Ad-Tech in NYC was one of the biggest, if not the biggest conference for online media I ever seen. Great lectures, huge exhibition (450 booths) and around 10,000 visitors. This was one the best places to find technologies, sources, media, advertising opportunities, partners and affiliates. The B4Playing Comparison Shopping tool for the online gambling industry attracted a lot of attention from anyone we talked to. Practically, we are going home with huge amount of valuable contacts. I think one of the biggest proof we had a success is that after a day and half I ran out of business cards and I did bring with me over 400 :)

Below are some pictures from At-Tech conference and NYC (and also my first time in my life trick n treat).

B4Playing is flying

Things are flying along at hyper-speed, with 300 new users joining everyday from different locations worldwide with focus on Europe. The word is spreading very quickly, and we’re happy that so many people are taking advantage of all of the opportunities that B4Playing has to offer – after all, there are lots of them.

We’re already working on our second version development. We’ve received great feedback from the many, many members, and it’s full-steam ahead for the development team to put the things we’ve learned into action.

B4Playing is always growing, and with every day, it’s getting better than ever!

Rummy Royal

I have a good friend named Shay Shevach, CMO at Rummy Royal (www.rummyroyal.com). He does truly exceptional work there – and I’m saying that because I truly mean it, not just because he’s my friend.

I was checking out the affiliate program he runs there, Rummy Affiliates (www.rummyaffiliates.com) and couldn’t have been more impressed with what I saw. He has created an ingenious program where, in three very simple steps, anybody can begin earning money. Not only that, but US players are accepted here – something rare in the online gambling world.

I’m not talking about just a little bit of money, either. Rummy Affiliates offers a whopping 25%, not just as a starting rate, but forever! Where else can you get revenue shares that high? I’ve personally never seen it. Drop by the site the next time you have the opportunity – you’ll be very glad you did.

MSN Messenger Virus

As has happened to us all at one time or another in our lives, I experienced a virus in my computer last week. It worked its way into my computer by way of a file I received as I used the internet phone. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, it weaseled its way into my MSN Messenger program, hopping onboard my instant messages, and taking up residence in the computers of my friends and colleagues, as well.

Fortunately, I had backed up my computer, so in retrospect, the virus actually did me a favor – it forced me to take the time to format my laptop, and set it up on a much cleaner and safer level.

My situation was far from being an exception in today’s online world, so it is important to make sure that you are prepared should a virus or worm strike your own PC. Indeed, there isn’t any way to virus-proof your computer, but it is possible to make it good and virus resistant.

Your first step is to regularly backup your computer. This way, if you do have to format your drive, it will be more of an inconvenience than an actual disaster. Make sure that you have disk-copies of all of your essential programs, and that you have saved all critical files – or anything else you’d like to save for the future – on disk as well. Saving it to your computer won’t cut it – after all, if your computer isn’t functioning or if it needs to be formatted, you won’t be able to do much with something on your Windows desktop.

The next step shouldn’t come as a surprise to you, but if you haven’t done it, you should do it immediately. Install an antivirus software into your computer, and always have it running. There are lots of great antivirus programs available, some at a very low price, and others absolutely free – it all depends on the features you want, and whether your computer is for personal or business use. Same thing goes for a firewall program.

You should also look into your internet browser and email programs. They should have their own security features that you can adjust. Their default settings are typically secure, but if they have been changed for some reason, then you could be open to quite a few problems, and be consistently downloading viruses without knowing it. Make sure that you keep your security levels high on the programs you use to most frequently for connecting to the internet.

Always download and install all of the latest security updates for your Windows or other operating system.

You will also want to download an anti-spyware program. Spyware is rampant among websites these days and no matter what you do, it will make its way into your computer at some time or another. Unfortunately, spyware frequently carries viruses along with it. Check your computer frequently for spyware and get rid of it as soon as it’s found.

These simple, regular steps should help you to keep on top of any potential virus problems. Should one happen to make its way in to your computer, at least you will be prepared.

So I am clean now :) thank god!

CAP Euro

I've written this 2 days ago in Barcelona Spain, but fell asleep before posting it…so I am putting it now:

I’m at the CAP EURO 2007 conference right now and things are going tremendously well. The first day’s main event included a late night networking party that gave us all the opportunity to get to know one another and make new contacts.

Day two was the first main conference and expo day. It included the beginning of registration, and lots of different speakers and conference opportunities. Unfortunately, I was so packed, since B4Playing is at the spotlights we had to put our time to meet the people. I must say that the organization is great, and event is a huge success. The afternoon party and networking sessions gave me the opportunity to talk to some of the people I’d already met, and to meet a few more great contacts. I’ll be sure to keep in touch with them! Great opportunities abound!

Affiliates Performance

One of B4Playing's key strategies is its corporation with affiliates. Our Multiple CPA (MCPA) program is, we believe, the most rewarding program in the industry. Affiliates who are mainly active with CPA commission find our program very profitable.

Out of the 100+ affiliates who have already registered and started activity around 20 have started to send traffic and generate users. All together we have recorded 650 users who are affiliates related. This represents 15% of our total users who stand on 4100 on Sep 30th night

Our October goal is set to 2500 affiliate related users. We believe that we can meet this aggressive number.. Achieving this number (out of the total 14500 users forecasted this month) will put the affiliates at 17.5% of total users for the month.

We would like to see the affiliates generating 40% of total users within 9 months. We strongly believe that affiliates related traffic is relatively targeted and of high value compared to plain vanilla media buy.

Some large affiliates, who started to be active, are expecting to generate around 1000 users a month during November December.

We have added additional marketing material and we hope that it will help increasing the conversion rate.

It seems that poker related affiliates are more active at this stage. Our unique features such as our poker tournaments list and alerts, and our poker bonus tool make the B4playing tool a preferred tool for poker users. The fact that the poker affiliates get straight commission and are not waiting for the lengthy rake to happen is a big plus.

What a month- September media results

In my previous blog posted on September 10th, I have shared my general view about running media campaigns. Well, it was harder than I thought. Media companies became a commodity and their service level as well as their professionalism has gone down. There are too many offline companies who are using their services and have no tracking tools and their level of monitoring and analysis is close to zero. Media companies got spoiled!

It was clear from the very beginning (around Sep 10th) that the level of our involvement has to be very high (few times a day at each media company). We started with 5 media companies. One could not get pixel tracking to work. The other one was way above our target per user. One was very slow to increase traffic. The forth one did not allow us to get access to their server and we had to terminate them. One was slowly and continuously growing and now delivers about 150 users a day.

The last day of September we had almost 300 new users. 248 from media and 51 from our affiliates. All together we have generated 4100 users. This is all great and dandy but Itay has set my target (without the affiliates) to 12000 this month. This is averaging at 400 a day. This could have been easy if he would not set the price per user at that low! I do need to grow from 250 a day to 500 a day before month end.
I am off to switch on more media companies and accelerate campaigns with the existing ones. I enjoy seeing the bandwidth consumption steadily growing, the price per users going down and the number of users growing!
Who said working hard is no fun??

Paul Potts singing Opera

I am not an opera person myself. At the Seinfeld days I was always joking that going to the opera is like going to the dentist the first time. You are all excited, the chair is going up and down but after you go out, you don’t want to get back…well…I grow up and saw this amazing video - I must say this guy really has it! I vote for him :)

Poker Tournaments Tool

People are asking me more and more about our poker tournaments tool. First, I want to say that poker tournaments is just one feature or section at the B4Playing tool (see video below). We are working to make a view for that as well so you would be able to get to see the movie about the poker tournaments section.

Thank you to our friend, Rudulf

We want to thank our friend, Rudulf, from SuperPokerAffiliates (www.superpokeraffiliates.com) for his great recommendation of the B4Playing tool and affiliate program. Here is his newsletter:

Dear Affiliates of SuperPokerAffiliates

Welcome to a new season as an affiliate of ours. I have a promise for you! This season will be much more exciting then the last one! We will launch new software tools, redesign our websites, offer competitions and special offers and much more. I’ll probably have to email you more often then once a month.

In the middle of September we will do a complete redesign and re-launch of Calculatem. We believe we can improve conversion and usability of that website. This is good news for you – the traffic you send will be easier to convert, and the redesign will be an excellent opportunity to communicate this to your visitors. New marketing material will be available as well.

I am glad to present a new colleague, Johanna. She will be assisting me with the SuperPokerAffiliates program. She is in charge of affiliate support, so do not hesitate in contacting her at affiliates@superpokeraffiliates.com.

The Calculatem Pro software is now available in several languages: Swedish, German, Spanish, French and Italian. You can change the language in your software by clicking “Options” and then set the language at the top. This is an excellent marketing message for your visitors. Not all poker players are English-speaking.

I would also like to remind you of the download buttons we have launched at SuperPokerAffiliates. Add these buttons or create your own and let your visitors download the software directly from your website. This will increase your conversion, and the users are tracked to you. Most important of all, you do not have to send your traffic to another website.

Take look at a new innovative software tool. B4Playing just launched its software client aimed at poker and casino players. The software is essentially a desktop portal which provides the player with extensive set of information: bonuses, tournaments schedules, exclusive bonuses and more. The reason I am sharing it with you is simply because it can be an excellent compliment to your portfolio. You are used to offer various poker software and it looks like a great addition. From an affiliate perspective, b4playing offers a Multiple CPA (MCPA) commission. You "own" the player and get CPA commission every time the player switches from one poker room to another. Check out their affiliate program at http://affiliates.b4playing.com

B4Playing Tutorial

Hey,

We have made some tutorials to help the users understand on how to use the B4Playing tool.

More tutorials will be up soon, including the poker tab, and poker tournaments.

Enjoy

Types of Casino Poker Tournament

A casino poker tournament can be a lot of fun for someone who knows what they are doing, and the stakes can be pretty high. However, there are some games for the serious poker player who may feel they are not quite ready for the really high stakes games. In most cases, there is a tournament for just about every skill level. If someone does not have a lot of cash to throw around, but loves to play the game, they can still find something within their price range. No matter what skill level someone might have, it is a good idea to have a basic understanding of how these things work and what to expect.

There is an entry fee when entering any type of casino poker tournament. It should be noted that the lower fee tournaments are usually the ones entered by the poker players who are not comfortable enough with their skill level to plop thousands of dollars down to enter. In most cases, the basics of a tournament are all going to be the same. Players are separated into tables, and are given a certain amount of chips. It is a matter of elimination (rules will vary on elimination for each place and event) and the winners move on to the next rounds. In some cases, players might reenter if they have chips left, but once they are gone, they are out of the tournament. Payout comes at the end of the last game with the largest chunk of prize money going to the winner.

It can be a lot of fun to enter into a casino poker tournament. If a person is not sure about their skill level when they enter one of these, they are going to get a good gauge on it rather quickly. Playing poker in the basement with buddies is great for learning, but until someone goes through their first tournament, they may have no idea of their own skill level. If a person bombs out rather quickly, it never hurts to get some help with the game. Though there are some who just have an instinct for these things, others need to work at learning the ins and outs of each type of game.

Finally a smart tool and easy to use - A B4Playing user testimonial

Thank you, B4Playing, for making my life easier. I have downloaded your client few days ago and a whole new world, which I was not aware of, is now at the tip of my hands.

I am an online Poker player, for the last 3 years. I enjoy spending weekends, usually late at night, playing at PartyPoker. I consider myself as a professional (I love these new comers) and once in a while I love playing with other professionals.

Your poker tournaments alert system is awesome. It became my scheduler and I really like it. (Can you connect it to Microsoft Outlook?)

I was not aware that there are so many poker rooms over the net. Went and played at Pacific Poker and I really enjoyed the different look and feel. I am now playing on 4 different poker rooms and I love it. I use the bonus optimizer and go to the ones that give me the highest.

The only downside with your tool is the fact that I am spending more time playing now!

Keep doing a great job. I sure am going to refer it to some of my neighbors.

B4Playing user.

B4Playing at CAP Euro

B4Playing at CAP Euro

B4Playing will participate at CAP Euro to be held in Barcelona on October 4-7th.

B4Playing team will be meeting its growing community of active affiliates, the operators who participate in our program as well as potential new affiliates and operators.

We will share statistics of our performance during September, our first month of operation, will demonstrate our product and will seek for feedback from affiliates and participating operators.

The growing list of online casinos and their associated bonuses, exclusive bonuses for B4Playing community, progressive slots and poker tournaments, make the B4Playing client a very powerful tool.

We are looking forward to meet and discuss potential business with all.

You can send me an email to info (at) b4playing.com and we can coordinate time for meetings.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Getting Media to produce results

Online advertizing went a long way since the first Citibank banner appeared on the Netscape front page. Direct response ads became very useful with a clear ROI targets. Sophisticated tracking systems, various ad formats, numerous advertizing networks, learning ad servers and more are available now.

The above mentioned sophistication made the selection, and the initial ramp up a lengthy process. It is not developing a banner any more. It is about installing tracking code (what's so called pixel tracking), it is about low scale testing of various banners, landing pages, various sites (and even ad networks).

It is all geared towards maximizing your investment. We set aggressive ROI goals and we keep waiting for the ad system to tune themselves, select the proper publishers, ad format and creative. It is fascinating to see how the cost per user is improving daily.

We are not there yet but we have all the indications that we will hit and exceed our targets. You better hold your eagerness to get users and get the ad systems to be fully tuned.

Stay tuned to some interesting statistics once our media will be fully tuned and operational.

Meanwhile we are very happy with our conversion rate from our client users to real players. It seems that poker players find the poker tournaments and it associated alert system very useful and the conversion rate is really impressive. The online casino bonus tool seems to be effective to.

More to come.

FUD

The Internet affiliation model has unique characteristics, so I learn, as I am exposed to that for the first time.

Beside some very large affiliates, who run a pretty large scale operation, most of the affiliates are small shops, mostly run by the owner. That's how they make their living and some (or maybe many) are doing very well.

Most of the small, mid size affiliates are online marketing experts and as such they are not dependant on technology but on specific/unique marketing knowledge that brings them traffic and results.

We have introduced a unique affiliation model based on a Multiple CPA (MCPA) model. This model became feasible as we have developed the technology (our desktop client) and it supporting backend. We offer affiliates to promote our client to players and share part of our CPA revenue.

While we see a tremendous interest (we have 300 affiliates who pre-registered and 60 who became official B4Playing ones since we open our system 5 days ago) I see a lot of FUD and especially in some forms. Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Well, this is typical when a novel idea is introduced and it is intensify when it effects a one man shop (where you cannot share views and responsibilities with others).

We are here to resolve the number one problem of any affiliate. Through our client they "own" the user for the first time and they travel with him and keep accumulating CPA whenever the user moves from one property to another or adds a new property. We believe that as we make progress the FUD effect will be eliminate.

One of the affiliates (mid size) who signed up 5 days ago brought us so far 22 users. One user opened accounts in 4 different Poker rooms and the other one opened accounts in 3 poker rooms. This specific affiliate has earned 7 CPA fees. This is exactly what the MCPA model is all about. Seems that our unique chart with scheduled poker tournaments is appealing to players.

Buying Media

Yesterday we have launched our official beta product. Now we officially turn from being a development company to an Internet marketing company. While there are many ways to market over the internet this short blog shares with you our activity as per buying media.

We have searched and interview quite a lot of Internet Media companies and have selected few. A specific budget was allocated to each one and a targeted cost per user (who downloaded the B4Playing client) was set. We are testing various methods:

Textual advertizing
Pay Per Click (keyword search)
Banners campaign

We have selected 2 different countries for each media company and have provided them with translated material.

At our backend we have developed a sophisticated tracking system. Each media company and each campaign is monitored separately and we can analyze and compare the performance of each one of them. Yes, the media companies track the performance themselves (and we even installed some pixel tracking code) but it is always better to own your own tools and do the analysis in-house.

Next week I will write a new blog and share with you some of our statistics.

Poker Tournaments

We have conducted a non scientific survey among some of our 800 beta testers and found that the most used feature is the online Poker Tournament list. Poker players were not exposed, so far, to a comprehensive, sort able list of scheduled poker tournaments on their desktop. Users were very surprised to find out that 43000 tournaments are available for the month of September.

While bonuses list are mostly stable, Poker tournaments schedule is dynamic by nature. The fact that players can go to an extensive chart, select the poker tournaments they want to play and ask the system to remind just before the tournament starts is a very useful feature; say most of the players we talked to.

As we add additional poker rooms to our list we will see the list of the poker tournaments growing. I predict that we will present a list of 100,000 tournaments for the month of December.

Who said you cannot have fun at work?

Welcome Harvey

I am very pleased to share with you the fact that Harvey Binnes has just joined our team here at B4Playing. We have searched for an experienced Affiliate Manager to run our innovative Multiple CPA (MCPA) Affiliate Program for few months now. Harvey, after taking a serious look at our offering and business outlook, found us as the most promising venture in our space.

We are projecting a stellar growth and we need individuals with vast experience and strategic thinking. Harvey is definitely one of the best! Being one of the first employees at IOG (Now Party) and was in the initial group of CWC, Harvey brings a lot of experience. I have worked with Harvey in the past and found him as a very pleasant partner and a very professional individual.

Welcome Harvey.

Startup Founders Don't Sleep

As I'm writing this, it's 1:34 A.M. on a Tuesday. I'm working right now, and my guess is most people aren't.

It's not that I'm not tired – I am. It's not that I can't sleep – I can. I'm working at 1:34 in the morning because that's what I do. I'm a startup Founder, and I don't sleep.

Startup Founders don't sleep because the work of a startup is never done. Many years from now, when this startup idea turns into a big company with lots of managers and bureaucracy, then I can sleep. As it stands now, there's too much work to do.

My Only Hurdle is Me

Unlike a big company -- where my extra hours really only benefit the company itself, in a startup, these hours benefit me directly. Every extra hour I put in, every extra step that I take, converts my vision into a reality that much faster. In many ways, the only hurdle to my growth is me.

The extra hours I put in tonight working on our marketing plan means our marketing team will get our next ad campaign launched a week earlier. That means our customers will show up a week sooner. That means we'll get paid faster. That means we'll be able to hire more people and increase our marketing spend more quickly. We'll get bigger, faster.

I could go to sleep now, or I could stay up and accelerate my vision by a week. I think I'll stay up.

My Competition Sleeps

I surely hope my competition likes to sleep. Heck, I hope the Founder I'm competing with is a total narcoleptic.

When he wakes up from a great night's rest and hops in the shower to get ready, I'll already be two hours into my day. By the time he gets around to reviewing his calendar for the day, I'll be half way through my task list and setting my goals for tomorrow.

When he clocks out at 5:30 to go home and have dinner, I'll be ordering lunch and blowing past my task list for the second day a little bit early. And while he's watching late night television and dozing off, I'll be already working on the next plan for tomorrow.

Sleep tight, buddy. You're about to have plenty of time to rest.

I Stay Up for Everyone Else

I know that even the most motivated team members of a startup company have other things to do. While I'm totally infatuated with a vision to build a great company, they are more infatuated with their own lives and goals. Fair enough.
So I need to lose a little sleep for them, too.

I need to stay up later to make sure we're thinking of all the possible opportunities for our sales team. I need to review our balance sheet one more time to see if we can squeeze some additional capital out of our bank. I need to think way ahead of our team to ensure our strategy remains aggressive.

By the time my team wakes up in the morning they'll have some new ideas for this week. But I'll have new ideas for next week, the week after, and the week after that. I stay awake because if I'm not spending more time and energy on our growth, no one else will.

The Market Won't Let Me Sleep

Of course I could nod off for a while. I could decide that it's time to slow down and take a rest. My friends have been saying I'm working too hard, I've got permanent circles under my eyes, and I haven't taken a vacation in far too long.
Yet every time I try to slow down and rest, something keeps waking me back up. It's like an alarm clock attached to my senses. It's called “The Market”, and the damn thing won't let me sleep a wink!

The Market is a constant reminder that every time I want to slow down and relax, there is someone else out there who won't. That alarm clock in my head isn't the ringing of a bell, it's the loss of a big contract to a competitor. It's my EVP that just got hired away to a faster growing company. It's the new competitive product that's sweeter than ours.

The Market will move as quickly as guys like me will push it. Like Gordon Gekko said in Wall Street – “Money never sleeps!” – so neither do I.

I'll Sleep When I’m Dead

This self-instigated sleep deprivation can end right now. I can get off this hamster wheel and leave it all behind me. I can go back to getting nine hours of sleep, relaxing on the weekends, and playing it safe.

But that's not what I'm built to do. I'm a startup Founder, and I don't sleep, I build. If I stop now, there will be someone else to replace me – maybe you. So I'll be staying up now and sleeping when I'm dead.

As for you? Sleep tight.

5 days after beta launch

We have launched our beta product on Aug 15th as planned. Have recruited 371 users in the first 5 days and it fits our targets. The feedback is very positive. We get bug reports, suggestion for minor changes and additional feature requests. This is exactly what we have looked for during the beta testing and prior to our official release on September 3rd. We are looking into having up to 1000 users prior to going live with the released product just to make sure that the system is reliable enough to handle large traffic.

While we are recruiting affiliates (we have 245 registered by now) we are finalizing the affiliation system so that we will be able to provide with the support expected from us.

On a different front we develop relationship and resolve technical issues with additional properties and we will get them up as we progress.

Looking forward to serving the players', the affiliates' and the properties' communities.

Setting goals and achieving them

Analyzing the reasons why a company is successful leads, most of the time, to some basic reasons. One of the reasons is the ability to set goals and meet them.

B4Playing goals were set by its management with a clear, strong belief that they are set to be met. One of the major goals was to launch the product on September first (Monday the 3rd for marketing reasons). In addition it was clear that a tested beta should be ready 2 weeks prior to the official launch so that a limited, controlled group will test the product and send feedback about major ( and tiny) issues prior to its wide spread distribution.

I am very pleased with the fact that the date of August 15th as the beta date was met. Yesterday at about 2100 GMT, the company has released the beta product and date was met!

B4Playing has very clear revenue, number of users and expense goals. I am very confident that all will be met based on recent experience.

The next date set is September 3rd to go live with the released version. Watch B4Playing and see if this goal is met.

Tomorrow

All is frozen. Code was frozen last night and being finally tested the entire day. We do not take additional properties and the ones who did have not complied with our technical and administrative needs will have to wait for the next wave just before we go live with the final version on September 3rd. Now, with more than 50 leading properties we believe that we are having enough value to start with.

With 30000 individuals who have pre- registered we believe that we will have quite a large community participating in our beta group. We have limited it to 1000 users and may consider broadening it based on feedback we will get from the market.

So far we have defined schedule. No more! Now, our users will be the king! They will define if we are giving the expected support and service and they will define the additional features they would like to see from us.

We are ready for the challenge.

A word about competition

What will happen if somebody will come up with a competing product?

What is your window of opportunity?

Who are your potential competitors?

Well, my view is very simple: if you do not have competition it is probably a sign that your market is either too small or its revenue potential is too low.

We have heard again and again "how come nobody didn't think about it before?".
My view is that great ideas are very simple.

We are acting in an unlimited market. 20M+ players are active and this number is growing. There is a room for some players. My only focus is to bring the best value to our users. The rest will follow.

Our market has a long food chain. I am not sure competition is the most accurate word for this market. How about coopetition? (hmmm, new word cooperation with competition). We cooperate with the properties, we are recruiting poker affiliates and casino affiliates and we service our users.

Somebody is volunteering to compete?

Working with Investors

Working with Investors

B4Playing is my first venture for which I have raised funds from external investors. As an individual affiliate I could manage it with my own resources but the B4Playing goals and scale was such, from the very beginning, that it was obvious that external funds are needed.
I thought I would share with you some of my conclusions, 7 months after we have concluded the financing round and just before we go live with our casino and poker tool.
1. Team up with the best, most experienced partner you can. It is preferred to team up with somebody who compliments you and brings set of qualities and experience that you do not have. This was one of the best decisions I took since I came up with the B4Playing idea.
2. Select your investors- Well, I was lucky. Can't complain that we had a too hard process in raising funds. Took us 4 months (including negotiation and contracts) and I am told that this is relatively a short process. We could have raise more money and get additional investors but we took a decision to team up with investors that look like smart , self confident and friendly. We did very well at that respect.
3. Update your investors- We publish monthly report and we include all relevant data. Share the good news and the bad news too. The more you are open and sharing, the better support you get.
4. Meet with your investors periodically- Investors would like to know what the status of their investment is. They would like to look at your eyes, not just get written reports.
5. Consult with your investors- Each investor brings a unique view. You need to listen. You have the choice to agree or not.
Why am I sharing it with you today? We are 8 days before our beta lunch. We work days and nights and I am so supported (morally) by all the investors. I know it could have been different.

Internet- A marketing or technical play?

Back in the late 90’s Internet was a clear pure technical play. We, the ones who were there at that time, had to struggle with a lot of new technologies and a setting up a new site ( which expects to get high traffic) had a lot of technical implications.

During the last 2 years, it was clear to me as a large casino affiliate and poker affiliate that the name of the game is marketing. How do I get to more people? SEO, PPC, textual advertizing, content, content, content.

Well, we are about to go live in 9 days and I watch our R&D team. Stress testing (as we would like to be ready for about 500 downloads a day), bandwidth calculations, backup and redundancy systems, security and much more. I see the 15 PCs simulating various working environment, the new client being built every night and more.

Yes, building a website is very simple these days. However, developing an application is still as complicated as it was when I was dealing with it. And I thought that all is simple these days!

I wrote it in one of my previous posts. I deal with 100s of inputs and have to take 10s of decisions. It is time consuming but I didn't have so much fun for long time.

Yes I know it will be harder on August 15th when we lunch our beta program. As long it will be fun I am ready for these sleepless nights.

The fun of dealing with translation

Our decision to go live with 7 different languages had clear business logic. We would like to service the international community and talk their language. We all understand that these automatic translators would not do a good job for us.

So, we went and subcontracted professional translators from any possible corner of the world. Now, we are sitting in front of web pages in Japanese and Chinese that we can even not read (not to mention that we cannot understand).

Well, we send it to some of our international colleagues to scan and hope that we will not be offended when we go live. We clearly feel that supporting local languages if a major advantage and we will do anything possible to be accurate and precise with our messages.

18 days before Beta launch

We are going live in 18 days! We can cut the air in our office with a knife. All are working 18 hours a day: Developers, QA, SEO, Media buyers, Finance and management. Tons of third party vendors are knocking on the door. Investors are calling in to get status reports. Fun. I love the Hi Tech world. It is so different than being an independent affiliate when you and only you define the pace and the work load.

A new software version is being published internally every few days (sometimes, every day), new properties are calling to join the program, 186 affiliates have already joined our newly introduced Affiliate program. SEO effort pays off.

Friends from the industry are calling to congratulate, my IM is being bombarded, getting 400 emails a day. 100s of CVs are being faxed here.

The good news is the fact that once we will go live life will be harder.

Fun, fun, fun.

Just a thought!

Just got off the phone talking to one of the largest affiliates in the industry and thought I'll share with you affiliates an idea expressed by him.

The guy owns a large website where a lot of players visit daily to get on-line gambling information.

A good portion is not interested in switching from their current gambling site today but interested in learning about new ideas and news regarding the industry. As our client is delivering data and information directly to the player the affiliate thought that it will be a good idea to have the client available at his website to players who are interested in downloading it.

B4Playing is associating the client with the affiliate who brought the player to download. At a certain point when the player will switch from one property to another, through our client, the affiliate will be credited. Just a thought!

Just one of these busy days…

If your life is anything like B4Playing, we can sympathize with your hectic schedule! Today has been one of the busiest days B4Playig has experienced. We have been bogged down with publishing, testing and preparing information for the official launch of our closed beta. It’s less than twenty days away, and we still have so much to do.

Understand, although it may sound like we’re whining, this is far from the truth. We are pleased to be so busy, because we know our hard work will pay off with our success!

Furthermore, just because we’re busy doesn’t mean we don’t have time for our B4Playig users. We are still so impressed with how many users we’ve accumulated over the past few months, and we can not express our gratitude to those of you who have spread the word about our fantastic tool and have helped grow our community.

Remember, should your ever have any comments, questions, or concerns, we are never to busy to respond to our users. Don’t ever hesitate to contact us, as we always look forward to hearing from you.

Ever busy, yet pleased with our success,

Thank you for your help!

Thank you to all who expressed interest in becoming a community leader and/or forum moderators for B4Playing, your response has been much appreciated and well received.

For those of you who are new to B4Playing, and were unaware of our request, we recently asked if any of or users were interested in becoming one of our community leaders or forum moderators for the forum that will soon be up and running for all users to participate in.

We were contacted by many users and were pleased with the outcome. It’s nice to see that our community is comprised of many dedicated individuals who are not only committed to us, but also their fellow B4Playing users.

Soon, our forum will be up and running and we are confident that we have found the best monitors who will support our/their fellow community members in their online gambling and B4Plyaing discussions, and who will ensure that users can read and post in a friendly environment.

Our goal is to make B4Playng a close net community that supports its users and provides them with nothing but finding the best in online gambling entertainment. We know our discussion board will be a success among our users and we look forward to reading their thoughts and opinions, and possibly contributing ourselves.

However, due to the amount of response we received from those interested in being chosen as leaders and moderators, we have not yet been able to make any decisions regarding the matter, but we will be contacting the individuals whom we feel are best suited for the job shortly. Saying that, we still believe that there are good relevant people for B4Playing community leaders, so if you think you are a great fit, please contact us at www.b4playing.com/contact_us.html

Once again we would like to thank you for your cooperation and response to this matter.

Kind regards,

Itay

Affiliate website has been pre-launched

Great news for all you affiliates out there – the B4Playing affiliate website has been pre-launched!

We are really excited about our B4Playing affiliate program because we know how unique it is compared to other programs out there.

For those of you who were unaware, B4Playing.com is an affiliate company founded by a team who was a conventional affiliate for years. Therefore, we know how lucrative affiliate marketing is, and want to provide you with the opportunity to improve your business model.

If you are interested in joining our B4Playing affiliate program here are a few facts that make our program unique:

• It’s free to join

• Even if you’ve never been an affiliate before, you need no marketing experience to join our program and earn money.

• You can make a profit more than once with the same user through our multiple CPA (MCPA) commissions.

Earning multiple CPA commissions is what makes our program so unique, because it provides affiliates with customer retention. Essentially, the way it works is when a visitor links to B4Playing though your website, becomes a B4Playing user by downloading the tool, and then becomes a real player at any one of our hundreds of properties, you receive a commission. There is a good chance you will make above $1000 per player over the life time of the player.
Once you bring in a user, it is assigned to you for good.

You can make more than one time commission with each user who becomes a B4Playing user through your site. Each time the same user becomes a real player on one of our properties, you are rewarded. Therefore, one user can bring you in numerous payments if they sign up with different casino or poker sites. The more sites the B4Playing user visit and deposit funds the more commission you earn.

There are many reasons why online gamblers will enjoy the B4Playing tool. It’s free to download, adds a lot of value and it is available in seven different languages which means it can accommodate a larger target market.

If you would like to pre-register or learn more about our outstanding money-making affiliate program, visit http://affiliates.b4playing.com/ and don’t hesitate to contact us.

Looking forward to sharing our money-making opportunities with you,

Itay

We’re looking for community leaders

Calling all leaders!

We will be launching our B4Playing forums soon to further bring our large, and ever growing community, closer together. That being said we are looking for community leaders to help us run and monitor the forums.

B4Playing is much more than just a tool that personalizes the online gambling experiences of its users, we`re also an affiliate and gaming community that wants to bring our members closer together by allowing them the opportunity to express their opinions, concerns, and questions regarding their online gambling experiences, etc., on a user-friendly discussion board.

However, it is important for us to ensure that our forums are well maintained and monitored to ensure our rules are upheld and users have a safe and friendly environment in which they can express their views and read the views of others.

Although we could appoint one of our current team members to this task, we would much prefer to have our own users, and members of the B4Playing community take on the task and reap the benefits that go along with such a position.

Do you have what it takes to be a B4Playing community leader? If you are a B4Playing user, enjoy taking charge, have respect for rules, and are an active member in the online gambling world, and are interested in the opinions of others and starting discussion, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

If you are interested in becoming a community leader or forum moderator for the B4Playing community, please contact us at www.b4playing.com/contact_us.html

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Itay

We are still growing fast…

This just in – B4Playing has 15,000 registered users and counting! More than 300 people are registering for the B4Playing tool and joining the B4Playing community daily.

It’s nice to see that so many online casino and poker tournaments players are ready to test B4Playing to find out if our tool can provide them with the link to the best, personal online gambling experience. We know our users won’t be disappointed in what our tool can do.

Each person that signs up to become a B4Playing user will enjoy excellent benefits such as no longer having to search for relevant gambling information. There are so many properties out there that it can feel next to impossible finding the right online casino or poker tournaments that suit your needs. The B4Playing tool not only finds the best sites based on the personal data you provide, but also classifies and filters the pertinent data and arranges it in the order you requested before delivering it directly to your desktop.

Once the information collected is placed on your desktop, all the user is required to do is click on the sites they are most interested in and they will be connected to the desired online casino and/or poker tournaments.

Being able to manage your online gambling experience puts you ahead of the average casino and poker player. For our users who favor the casino, B4Playig will provide you with a list of all the major online casino operators and select the best bonuses that suit your personal preference such as Progressive Slot Alerts, Exclusive Bonus Offers and Bonuses Optimization.

For our users who enjoy poker playing, B4Plaing will provide detailed data for all scheduled poker tournaments so you know about every event, and can choose the ones that interest you most. You will also be alerted of tournaments before they start so you don`t miss them.

B4Playing is all about having online gambling your way. It has been designed to personally accommodate every user regardless of their online casino or poker tournaments preference.

Once again, thank you to all of our users who have spread the word and helped us reach over 14,000 users in such a short period of time.

Please continue helping us grow the B4Playing community.

Are we dreaming or what?

We are busy developing our SEO positioning with search engines and specially Google, Yahoo and MSN since our website went live on May 1st.
Based on Google Analytics we have achieved in the last 25 days ( since June 1st) a conversion rate of 28.9%!!!!!!! Every 4th visitor register to participate in our beta program!
Are we so unique? Are we providing a solution the market is waiting for? Is our message so clear? Is there such a void that our solution fills? Is Google analytics not doing a proper job?
We are all anxious to see if our conversion rate will remain that high when the daily traffic grow to 1000s of daily visitors?

Come join our program and get our conversion rate to even a higher number!

B4Playing demonstrated its software at a closed focus group

B4playing has conducted a focus group with 35 professional casino and poker players. The meeting was held in London last Friday (June 22nd).
We used this meeting to show our alpha version for the first time to a closed group of potential users. Feedback was awesome and very valuable.

"You are the Google of the on-line operators" said few of the players. "We spend hours searching for relevant information in between the millions of results we get at the search engines. We can never be up to date with timing of tournaments, best bonuses available, and status of various progressive slots."

Some very useful feedback about our GUI and the data we provide was received and will be implemented prior to our official launch. We were asked to include all the leading operators in our program.

I feel that we are developing a tool which is much needed and will be massively used by online players. I cannot wait to our next focus group and the day we are going live.

We welcome you to visit our headquarters

Greetings fellow B4Playing users! Have you ever been to the lovely Isle of Man where our B4Playing headquarters is located?

The Isle of Man is situated in the Irish Sea between England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. It is part of the British Isles and is a unique self-governing kingdom. It functions completely independent from the United Kingdom and the European Union, and has its own laws, culture, traditions, and cuisine.

Although the Isle of Man only covers an area of 227 sq mi, and over 40% of the island is uninhibited, don’t let the size fool you. The Isle of Man also serves as a huge tourist attraction and is celebrated for its vitality, plenty of attractions and accommodations.

The capital of the Isle of Man is Douglas, and is where the majority of the action takes place. You can enjoy shopping, fine dinning, museums, a variety of international motor sports, water sports and golf, as well as the Douglas casino and film. In fact, the Isle of Man has become one of the busiest areas within the British Isles when it comes to film production.

The Isle of Man is also home to medieval castles, charming Victorian railways and trams, breathtaking parks and gardens, and, of course, B4Playing.

We invite our users, properties and affiliates to come and visit us in the Isle of Man. You won’t regret paying us a visit or experiencing the natural and unique beauty of one of the most exotic islands in the world.

If you would like to pay us a visit, please www.b4playing.com/contact_us.html

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Back from GIGSE and CAP spring break

We’re back from GIGSE and CAP spring break, and what a great time we had! We met many new faces, and were happy to see some familiar faces as well. We enjoyed meeting all of the B4Playing users, properties, and affiliates who attended the functions, but for those of you who were unable to attend, the following are brief highlights of some of the great things we saw:

GIGSE 2007 – This year’s GIGSE event gave us the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the future of the I-Gaming industry. It was clear from the many speakers we saw that there are many significant changes occurring within the world of Internet Gaming. GIGSE allowed us to share our insights and learn about the best practices that benefit all in the I-Gaming industry. We also enjoyed the lovely and unique city of Montreal. I particularly enjoyed the food :)

Here is a list of three sessions we saw over the three day event -

The analysis of the Modern Gambling Industry – we learned about the challenges the online gambling industry is faced with today and future expectations for the business.

Case Study: Customer Service Initiatives – Strategies and Results- We explored how exceptional customer service has helped grow and develop the I-Gaming industry. We learned how all the different ways of communication (I.E. email, live chat and click-to-call) increases the satisfaction of customers, which, in turn reduces operation costs and makes for higher revenues.

Frontiers: Asia – Here and Now – We discovered the impact Asia is already beginning to have, and will have in the future as it becomes the next major marketplace for I-Gaming. We learned about many of the challenges and opportunities that exist in the Asian I-Gaming marketplace.

CAP Spring Break 2007
At CAP we were able to grow our network and established many new long lasting friendships among the top gaming affiliates & properties that participated and attended the convention. We also learned many new and exciting new details about some casino affiliate programs and had a great time in our Bahamas resort and even did a little sliding into the shark pool tunnel! The Atlantis is a great resort and with many attractions for the family - I recommend for each one of you do schedule a trip one day. Here are some pictures I made there:

The Atlantis hotel

The view from the room

Atlantis marina

One of the beautiful white beaches

Here you get to slide with REAL sharks around u

The aquarium

Cat fish pond

Here is a list of three sessions we saw over the three day event –

International Domain Names – The Importance of international domain names in the global market were discussed.

Offshore Corporations and Banking – We learned why setting up an offshore corporation or banking is important for reducing legal exposure.

Panel Discussion – We joined the panel of experts who discussed ``The Road Ahead``. It was an interesting experience being able to participate with others in the discussion and having questions answered by the experts.

We would like to thank everyone who we met at the GIGSE convention & CAP Spring Break - we hope to see you again next year!

45 Days, over 11,000 users - Woohoo!

We have exciting news! B4Playing launched on May 1st and we are pleased to report that not only was our launch successful, but we have reached over 11,000 users in the first 45 days!

11,000 users greatly surpassed our original estimation of 5,000 users and we couldn’t be happier. It’s clear to us that many of our users have spread the word to their friends, relatives, colleagues and anyone who enjoys online gambling as much as they do.

Although we didn’t doubt the success of B4Playing, We’re pleased to see that so many online casino and poker players have taken an active interest in our tool in such a short time. With such an awesome turnout, we see a great future for B4Playing, as well as for our users.

The online gambling community is a huge industry filled with many online casinos and poker rooms for players to choose from. We’re delighted to help players find the properties that feature the best bonuses, games and tournaments that are most suited to their individual playing desires.

After all, your online gambling experience should be designed just the way you want it. There’s no reason why you should be frustrated searching thorough the multitude of online casinos and poker sites when you should be enjoying your free time by having fun gaming.

We thank you for your support and for becoming a valuable B4Playing user. Please feel free to keep spreading the word and inviting more people to join our community.

With so many users in 45 days, who knows how many users well be part of the B4Playing community in 6 months!

A quick update

First we have a new great group of properties joining us from Brightshare: All Slots Casino, All Jackpots Casino, First Web Casino, Wild Jack Casino and Wild Jack Poker – this is a great addition to our tool.

We’ve got requests from subscribing players to start and give them new opportunities at the properties now, even if the tool is not ready to launch. Although this wasn’t on our plan we are taking the challenge and already working on some cool new opportunities for our players. Keep tracking your email, you should be getting very soon more emails from us including some great offers.

That is it for this time – a quick update.
